Mr. Mahinda is a retired government officer who worked as a Machine operator in vaytex Textile Company in gampha. He was born in Galle On 11th of April 1954.After completing 20 years of service in his career he retired himself from the profession and became as an entrepreneur. Having 2 sisters and one brother filled his childhood with lots of memories and experiences. He started his career after completing his education in Mahinda collage in Galle; Mr. mahinda is managed to accomplish all the goals which he had when he was young. By facing various kind of difficulties thought out his life finally he called himself f as a successor. In this insightful interview, he talks about the things he did to overcome her challenges in life experience as she shed light on how to lead a productive life.

1.What makes you think that you achieved your life?

I only had few things in my mind when i was young.one thing is to find a profession which i can improve my capabilities and limits ,The second important thing is build a good reputation.Among all these exceptions i had a only one desire  that was to become as a entrepreneur.Now i am 60 years old and i have achieved these things with my hard work and commitment.

2.Do you believe that a person should not consider older life as a barrier to achieve things ?

Yes of course ! A person should have guts to go and do what he wish to do his life no matter how difficult it is.if i thought that i am old and i can’t do anything that’s means i am week in physically and mental and having negative attitudes towards life only  make things worse,

3.What are some of the most important lessons you feel you have learned over the course of your life?

Well i have learned many things over course of my life but the most important thing among them is never give up.Be positive all the time, Even i am week in physically  i should not be week in mentally, because the mind is the most important thing in the human body to do things.

4.What are some of the important choices or decisions you made that you have learned from?

The most important decision i made was to do things in exactly right time, i started my career when i was 19 years old and i got married in 25, i was so patient and i did not wait things to happen for me,i made them happen,i turned all my goals in to a reality,

5. what were you think about your life retirement life when you were young ? 

We can’t change human nature we have to prepare Ourselves to face the life even after we got older, to do that we have to plan it wisely and properly, what i did was,i had a control over my life, so i managed to face the retirement life.

6.what are the key facts to a happy marriage!

Well it is been 35 years for my marriage life still i have no issue with it, We have to listen each other and always try to keep things balance,show some respect to wife and get her self involved when ever i get a important decision in my life, so that is my secret for happy marriage life.

7.What would you say are the major values or principles that you live by?

Most importantly i should say that  am not lazy to work i wake up early in the morning and do some exercise every day to keep my body healthy and when i was young i had a vision and i did every ting according to that and also i never give up no matter how difficult is my task i put all my effort to complete it..

8.As you look back over your life, do you see any “turning points”; that is, a key event or experience that changed over the course of your life or set you on a different track

i have nothing to worry because i have everything what i wanted in my life i have three children and all of them are well educated, as a parent i am glad i did my responsibilities and the major turning points of my life are my marriage and the decision which i took to become as an entrepreneur.
